Texas 83rd Legislative Session Update: Report for Friday, May 31st

The House adjourned until 2:00 p.m., Monday, June 3, 2013.

• At a press conference Friday, Governor Perry stated that he might be opening the call to other issues.
• House Committee on Redistricting will hold public hearings on Friday, May 31, and Saturday, June 1, at 9:00 a.m..

The Senate recessed until 1:00 p.m., Thursday, June 6, 2013.

• The Select Committee on Redistricting has posted hearings for 6/6 and 6/12. Amendments are to be considered in Committee on June 12th. Tentatively, the bill could be considered on the Floor June 14th according to Chairman Seliger.
• Redistricting Maps for the First Called Session
  To select a plan click on Plans>Shaded> and select the plan referenced in the bill under consideration.
• To access Daily Reports, Calendars, Tracking Reports,… for the regular session use the normal navigation drop downs and select the 83R session.
