The Senate Finance Committee will meet on July 9, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. in room E1.036 of the Capitol Extension.
The Committee will hear invited and public testimony regarding the Committee’s interim charge to evaluate the changes in the correctional health care system, including management, cost savings, and increasing access to federal matching Medicaid reimbursement for prisoner care. The Committee will make recommendations for improving the efficiency and adequacy of health care delivery throughout the system. Those wishing to give public testimony, please limit prepared remarks to 3 minutes. If submitting written testimony, please provide 25 copies, with your name on each copy, to the Committee during the hearing.

The Subcommittee on Article VI, VII and VIII will meet to take invited testimony on the Interim Charge: Examine the growth of constitutionally and statutorily dedicated accounts and their utilization in the budget. Recommend methods to reduce the reliance on dedicated accounts for budget certification purposes, and examine ways to maximize the use of such accounts. Invited testimony only. The Committee will hear the following interim charge: Study transportation funding reforms and develop long-term state funding recommendations, with an eye on any federal reforms that become law.
