Texas Lobby Group News: Lieutenant Governor David Dewhurst Announces Senate Committee Chairs
Lieutenant Governor David Dewhurst announced the appointment of Committee Chairs today. The Lieutenant Governor had to replace five committee chairs that will not return to the Senate next session (Senators Mike Jackson, Florence Shapiro, Steve Ogden, Chris Harris, and Jeff Wentworth). Of the 18 Chairs announced, 10 committees will have a new Chair presiding over it.
The Texas Lobby Group looks forward to working with each of these Senators and their committees during the 83rd Legislative Session.
